The 13th medtech conference centers on the theme “Medical Devices: From Concept to Market—Strategies for Sales, Distribution, and Secure Logistics”. What steps are necessary to successfully launch innovative medical devices, and what central role do sales, distribution, and logistics play in this process? Join experts in discussing how supply chains can be designed to be efficient, secure, and crisis-proof, and which strategies have proven effective in practice. What role does cybersecurity play in this context? Which strategies are particularly successful abroad?
Our Division Bioanalytics & Diagnostics at Fraunhofer IMM presents together with the High-Performance Center for Single-Cell Technologies LZ-EZT at the accompanying exhibition “Medicine, Technology & Research”.
The specific detection of proteins is of great importance in both analytics and diagnostics and is used as a standard procedure in research. Traditionally, however, detection by enzyme-linked immunoassay requires a great deal of time and manual handling. To overcome these challenges, Fraunhofer IMM is developing a microfluidic system for the automated detection of proteins using chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA). This innovative method enables fast and efficient reading of the reaction, thereby improving efficiency in protein analysis.
MICRO-HEAD is a compact, multifunctional robotic tool that automates sample preparation and liquid handling, going far beyond standard pipetting. Modular adapters as consumables enable steps like mixing, filtration, and purification, reducing personnel and equipment needs. Revenue comes from device sales, consumables, and IP licensing.
The Single Cell Technologies Center (LZ-EZT) is an innovative network specializing in the challenges of isolating and analyzing single cells. Precise single cell analysis and cell culture models are essential in modern diagnostics. LZ-EZT combines expertise in microfluidics, engineering, and automation to address the specific needs of the healthcare industry. The LZ-EZT promotes collaboration between science and industry in the Rhine-Main/Rhine-Neckar region and provides access to highly qualified specialists and the latest technologies for personalized medicine.
