Webinar: Microfluidic polymer cartridges: Development and realization

The use of microfluidics and the related system technology for the handling of liquid quantities from the micro- to picoliter range, the so called lab-on-a-chip technology, resulted in significant progress with respect to the development of efficient analysis methods.

Fraunhofer IMM has been developing microfluidic systems and novel sensing methods for chemical analytics and life science applications for over 20 years. Our technologies and know-how offer users a variety of advantages compared to standard analyses, such as increased throughput due to faster measurements with reduced reagent consumption and integrated data analysis and transfer.

In our webinar we will present our application-oriented developments of fully integrated, microfluidic analysis systems. These are a combination of mass producible microfluidic components - such as the injection molded cartridges - and the associated operator equipment for new laboratory and on-site applications.

As an institution for applied research and development, we prepare proof-of-concept studies for our customers, consult them in the implementation and develop prototypes together with our industrial partners.

The presentations will be held in English language.
